DAY 1: DAY 1: Crane Construction and Types
  • Introduction to Overhead Cranes: Terminology, history, applications.
  • Crane Construction: Bridge, trolley, hoist, runway, end trucks, etc.
  • Crane Types: Bridge cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, monorail cranes, etc.
  • Crane Classifications: CMAA classifications and their significance.
  • Crane Selection: Factors to consider when choosing a crane.
DAY 2: DAY 2: Crane Operation and Safety
  • Pre-Operational Inspections: Daily, monthly, and annual inspections.
  • Safe Operating Procedures: Lifting procedures, load handling, signaling, etc.
  • Crane Controls: Pendant controls, radio controls, cabin controls.
  • Load Charts and Capacity Ratings: Understanding and interpreting load charts.
  • Safety Regulations and Standards: OSHA, ASME, and other relevant standards.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for crane operations.
DAY 3: DAY 3: Crane Testing and Load Calculations
  • Crane Testing: Proof testing, load testing, and other required tests.
  • Load Calculations: Determining load center of gravity, safe working load, etc.

DAY 5: DAY 5: Frame, Rigging Tools, and Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshooting Mechanical Issues: Identifying and resolving common mechanical problems.

Certificates
  • On successful completion of this training course, GLOMACS Certificate will be awarded to the delegates
  • Continuing Professional Education credits (CPE) : In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsor, one CPE credit is granted per 50 minutes of attendance
