An Interactive 5-Day Training Course
Ship Energy Efficiency Management
Principals of Energy Management and Environment Protection in Maritime Industry
Course Overview
This attractive GLOMACS Ship Energy Efficiency Management training course was prepared to provide awareness, knowledge and skills required of shipboard and office-based staff on ship energy management systems and plans and their implementation. It aims to provide general information on shipping management systems, details of ISO 50001 on Energy Management System, ship and company related management systems and plans and specific tools for monitoring of ship energy performance which includes energy reviews and audits, performance monitoring as well as data collection, monitoring and reporting including the IMO data collection.
This 5-day Ship Energy Efficiency Management training course was designed to lead the attendees to implement the key principles of ship energy management within the marine industry, introduce the tools that can assist in reducing energy usage, understanding of the regulatory requirements, think of various measures that can be put in place to improve energy efficiency / reduce pollution and give them practical awareness and knowledge of the responsibility towards preserving the environment.
This Ship Energy Efficiency Management training course will contain the following technical areas:
- Principles of energy management systems and application to the marine industry
- Current / future requirements on ship energy efficiency (EEDI, SEEMP and EEOI)
- Alternative fuel for decrease in GHG Emission
- Combination of operational measures and use of technology
- Current best practice in diverse areas of energy management, including main/aux. power generation, boilers, energy recovery, resistance and propulsion, accommodation and services and cargo operations
- Energy Efficiency options in operation (weather routing & trim)
- An overview of ISO 50001
Training Objectives
