Course Overview
The COVID-19 pandemic has shocked societies, economies and governments to their very core. Its impact is much more severe than in previous recessions. Due to the lockdowns factories and shops have closed, supplies have been disrupted and consumers have stayed home. Whereas, traditionally the sign of a good manager was a strategic mind, in the COVID era it is all about the here and now. Organisations need to adjust to a new reality.
Managers are faced with three pressing questions:
- How has the pandemic impacted our business environment?
- What do theses changes mean for our organization?
- How can we prepare for similar disruptions in the future?
This GLOMACS online training course on Strategy Post-Pandemic takes a comprehensive look at the opportunities and challenges that this crisis presents and examines how to prepare organisations to become more resilient, adaptable, responsible and sustainable.
This course will provide delegates with tools to develop strategies in order to succeed in the harsh climate of a post-pandemic world.

DAY 1:
- The global economy before the pandemic: interconnected economies.
- The short-term impact of the pandemic: intentionally caused economic hardship.
- The post-pandemic era:
- Restructured economies
- Deglobalisation
- Redefining the supply chain: the trade-off between efficiency and self-sufficiency
- The enhanced role of technology
- How has consumer behaviour been impacted?
- What will our workplaces look like?
Certificates
- On successful completion of this training course, GLOMACS Certificate will be awarded to the delegates
- Continuing Professional Education credits (CPE) : In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsor, one CPE credit is granted per 50 minutes of attendance
Accreditation
GLOMACS is registered with NASBA as a sponsor of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. NASBA have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
All Training Seminars delivered by GLOMACS by default are eligible for CPE Credit.
