Course Overview

This GLOMACS 10-day Oxford Healthcare Leadership Certificate training course in the development of leadership capabilities in healthcare seeks to develop leaders in the healthcare sector. The course is run in workshop format to encourage sharing of ideas and good practice. It seeks to help delegates understand the importance of effective leadership in delivery of quality health care.

The first week of the course will address the global context of healthcare management, for instance, the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic on organisations, communities, clinicians, and non-clinicians in developed and developing countries. Week 2 of the programme focuses on delegates’ leadership capabilities. The importance of followership as well as leadership. Leadership styles: innate leadership and employing new techniques and approaches. The importance of communication with all stakeholders - internal and external. The need to encourage innovation. The importance of organisational culture in delivering quality of care. 

This GLOMACS training course will highlight:

This training course is split into two modules:

Module I - Leadership and Organisational Development in Healthcare

Module II - Leadership & Management in Healthcare

Each module is structured and can be taken as a stand-alone training course; however, delegates will maximise their benefits by taking Module 1 and 2 back-to-back as a 2-week training course.
